His practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring, including related litigation and dispute resolution. - Representing bank in multiple bankruptcy cases involving distressed agricultural businesses (U.S. Bankruptcy Court Eastern District of California);
- Representing debtor Potomac Supply Corporation, a sawmill and building supply company, in its chapter 11 case (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia);
- Representing purchaser of radio station cluster in Nassau Broadcasting Partners LP chapter 11 (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware);
- Defending syndicated lenders in litigation in LandSource Communities Development LLC chapter 11 (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware);
- Representing mezzanine lender and "B" note holder in Georgian Towers chapter 11 (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Maryland);
- Representing debtors ReGen Biologics, Inc. and RBio, Inc., developers and manufacturers of biomedical devices, in their chapter 11 cases (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware);
- Representing mezzanine lender in Bray & Gillespie Management, LLC chapter 11 (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Florida);
- Representing Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Syroco, Inc. chapter 11 case; securing recovery for creditors despite case’s administrative insolvency and conversion to chapter 7.
- Representing successful purchaser of all assets in El Comandante Management Co. chapter 11 (U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Puerto Rico), one of the largest reorganization cases ever filed in Puerto Rico, involving complex litigation and three competing plans of reorganization.
- Representing bank as indenture trustee in bankruptcy of airline
- Representing various companies selected to serve on committees of unsecured creditors in major telecommunications and airline chapter 11 cases (e.g., U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of Virginia);
- Representing corporation in nondischargeability action (judgment affirmed in In re Ellison, 296 F.3d 266 (4th Cir. 2002)); and
- Representing individual debtors (pro bono) in chapter 7 and 13 cases.
